No, I'm just a cack WHOer, but I take loads from all over. :-)

Right now, I am sitting at my laptop, stage right, while one of the best Pink Floyd cover bands on the planet are playing....Brit Floyd. I've had worse jobs.

I know people who work in sales who genuinely love the buzz of winning contracts and securing deals etc. Suppose the bonuses and commission help in that though.

Plenty of tradesmen out there would say that the satisfaction they get when they finish a job as well, also mechanics who just love the idea of taking things apart and putting them back together again etc.

Loved my job. Took me all over the world, for over 30 years. Played plenty of golf too. :-)

Bit surprised anyone actually loves their job, or even likes it TBH. I love playing golf and love watching the Hammers but I couldn't do either every day!!

Re: WHO actually likes their boring cunt job?...
They offered me double and I went back and got them to treble it. They were hoping I'd be given a clean slate after my line manager moved on but recognised that wasn't going to happen. I think I was also lucky that the company I worked for recently merged with it's sister company, so they are looking to streamline things anyway.

I have no regrets. I couldn't work for this utter cunt. Sometimes you have to stick with your principles and look after number one. No point getting up and going to work unhappy everyday. Luckily for me I was offered a new job on the my last day and they gave me a month off as well. So I can't complain.

Re: WHO actually likes their boring cunt job?...
Statutory redundancy trebled is still a nice touch though.

Although I guess redundancy pay is relative to how quick you get another job.

How did it work out for you in the end? Looking back are you glad it all happened or wish you had stayed put??

Me, my job, love.

I got to work in SF, Atalanta, Boston , Paris, Prague, The Dam, The Nordics, Brussels (errrr), Den Hague, Lithuania, Warsaw to name a few and get paid a good wad. Get to meet new people new culture nationalities.

Re: WHO actually likes their boring cunt job?...
Rusta,

No but that is one way.

There was a long running dispute between my cunt of a boss, myself and my line manager. My line manager was going into see the bloke that was second in charge to try and get it sorted. He kept saying he'd sort it and be have patience until one time when he went in and HR were also there and they offered to pay him off. He ended up going to another department leaving me with the cunt.

The cunt couldn't help but be a cunt to me after all that had gone on. The final straw was the way he gave me my bonus and the fact it was less than the previous year.

I went to HR and said I couldn't work with him and they should either fined me another job or pay be off. They came up with a compromise agreement, even though they said they wouldn't usually do that for someone who had just walked in and asked for it, and I left with basically my statutory redundancy trebled.

Where I fucked up was not going in with my line manager to complain. He was offered a years salary, his prospective bonus and his statutory bonus!

Hate my job. Pople are alright but the job is dull as fuck and not challenging - as with a lot of people on the thread, as soon as I have learnt something I get bored.

Just completed an MSc in Psychology part time - got a distinction - so looking to use that and business experience in some way. Not sure how - maybe market research/data analytics.

Dull to some but I am a nosey cunt so it's right up my alley...

Theres plenty of people with fucked backs from sitting in an office all day as well

Re: WHO actually likes their boring cunt job?...
I honestly think 9-5 sit-down office jobs are genuinely bad for people.

We're animals, we weren't designed to wake up, sit in a car/train to a building to sit down staring at a screen for 9 hours and then sit down in a car/train in order to come home and sit down and stare at another screen til going to sleep for 5 days a week.

Can't be arsed to google or anything but regardless of income or "job satisfaction" or anything I guarantee the rates of depression, insomnia, and even things like dementia and alzhaimers are much much higher in people who do 40 years of sit-down office jobs than in anything that involves getting out into fresh air and moving about.

Yeah if you're a builder you're probably gonna have a fucked back by age 40 but you probably will anyway by age 50 so who gives a fuck.

Fuck me, there are some fucking jobsworths about.

Something might be half interesting, but not when it's every fucking day, and it's the fact you HAVE to get up to do it that is shit. Even if you change, the next job becomes the same.

If you won £80mil on the Euromillions, are you telling me you'd still get up and do what you are currently doing every day? Bollocks would you, you'd be in Spearmint Rhino having some super model slut sucking champagne off your helmet.

I work in IT sales , well paid but hate what i do, problem is if i do something else then I won't earn the money because sales is all i really know. Single parent with a 17 year old son who will leave home in about 2-3 years i reckon, i'll have a big decision what to do with myself then as i just won't have any responsibility apart from myself.

Re: WHO actually likes their boring cunt job?...
Went through a bit of a mid life crisis about 5 years ago in which I was going to kill a few people I worked with.... actually told my boss this... had a week away to get my head sorted but the only way I could manage was to give myself small goals... look forward to the weekend, a holiday, a trip to Ascot... that type of thing... and as long as I can do that I can function... it's ok here... it's decent(ish) dosh for local... have flexi... 6 weeks a year hols.... 4 miles from my door (can actually see the office from the bottom of my road) only thing is any wage rise is swamped by our annual pension increase ... oh and that I am on call 24/7 365 days a year... but money is must... I did look at doing other things a few years ago but everything I looked at could not pay what I was earning here... Ideally I'd like a little win somewhere and give us enough money to set up a dog walking franchise... I'd be happy then :-)
